What to see

Catona
The B&B Iolanda is about 300m from Catona town centre, near shops and supermarkets. It is also near to the bus and train stations.
It is about 300m. from the motorway exit A3 Salerno-Reggio Calabria.
About 1ikm. Away there is the neighbourhood of Arghilà which has a large shopping centre and about 1km. away there is the sports centre Sport Village with a gym, tennis courts and 5-a-side fields.
The main activities in Catona take place along the via Nazionale where most of the shops and commercial activities are situated; but in the summer it moves to the sea-front which is characterized by palm trees and the many lidos that organize many kinds of entertainment on the wide sandy beach.
There is also the famous open air theatre “Catonateatro” which has seating for 1200 people and puts on shows and performances of national importance during the season June –September.


Reggio Calabria
About 10 minutes by motorway(but easily reached by public transport) is the centre of Reggio Calabria.
Among the attractions are the Riace Bronzes in the Museo Nazionale della Magna Grecia , one of the main tourist attractions in the city of the Strait; the seafront Lungomare Falcomatà (considered the most beautiful kilometer in Italy) during recent years has become a busy beach resort and is very lively during the summer season.
